As far as I know the mark on the firewall is accurate. We just did one using that mark and the template, I can confirm its accuracy latertoday when the engine gets mounted with the long screws.

Yes, it is a very nice plane. We will be offering a quick-build version for the DA-85 here very soon. It will have the hatch completely finished with panels and pilot, engine mount for DA-85 provided and all mounting done, mounts for throttle and choke servos installed, pushrods made, fuel system installed and a complete dry assembly and inspection done to be sure everything fits. And of course all the hinging is done with the pocket hinges.
