Default 3rd project - 2x2 experimental platform

Well, in order to convince my parents that I need more funding (holliday presents) this year, I have decided to start another project. I have high hopes for this one after the complete failure of my first two home-made rc's due to its relatively simple design and concept. My goal is to have it finished by the end of this year and to have the vehicle be able to turn like a tank and be fairly robust. (No speed records here![sm=rolleyes.gif])
Here is where I am starting:
- 4 off-road spiked chevron tires
- 2 SMALL electric motors
- gears and (unproportional[:@]) radio system from a salvaged rc toy
- a bunch of alluminum, plexiglass, nuts, bolts, and ideas

...My plan is to have this vehicle function like a tank, with each side's wheels functioning separately of the other's. My running equipment and motors are realy CHEAP - both donated to me by a friend. One of the motors has no reverse, due to a fualty or overused circuit board (I am not going to worry about that too much, I just want this thing to move!) The main goal for this project is to force me to get away from the worries of school and to have some fun. I also want to try something new here so there will obviously be times when I will make stupid decisions. I am only 14, so please keep the critisism constructive. I want this thing to be the coolest thing that I have made so far.
Here are the plans.
