Also Darryl, not quite sure what you mean about the hardware being poor quality and having to make your own carbon fiber rods. The hardware included is in my opinion very good and the 4-40 rods and ball links are very short and worked extremely well in my build. Guess you're just trying to save a little weight. Please keep me posted how it works for you. If I were to try to save some weight, I'd replace that heavy wing tube and landing gear with carbon fiber. Bet you could save at least 1/2 a pound just in that
