Default RE: Best CYCLIC pitch for Trex 450S

Yes alot of RCers don't know about cyclic pitch as its not really reguarded as important for the newbies, as compared to collective pitch... & the info just gets buried in all the techno gadgets once you learn the basics. However, if you want a precision handling & top performing bird... you need to know how to check & adjust this!
It refers to when you input either aileron or elevator control... the angle the blade makes fro center stick! This angle dictates how fast your chopper will roll, loop & flip. It has NOTHING to do with collective pitch!

You can check this CYCLIC pitch by turning on your radio, moving your collective stick to center... & using your pitch gauge on the blades just as when your checking collective angles... However, you don't move the collective from zero pitch, rather you must move either the elevator or aileron stick & keep the flybar as level as you can while checking it!

Note their are two independant cyclic rates you must adjust/check... elevator & aileron! Sometimes, you can easily find that the cyclic pitch for the aileron is much lower for than the elevator... the angle ranges for the two must be set to the same!

Oh... adjust the endpoints or atv on your radio to increase or decrease this angle! On.. ccpm birds.. don't mess with endpoint or atv... go into the swash & adjust the aileron & elevator percentage...

Is this info news to you???
