Any ideas on what the benefits if any are there to using a biplane over the monoplane?
Built in drag, amazing rudder authority, low wing loading in a very compact form (in general). Biplanes always seem to look better in rolling maneuvers than monoplanes to me.. And they're almost cheating for rolling circles.
Also.. it really looks very little like a Hydeaway with 2 wings if you see the entire airplane better. The drawings Chip sent me as these were being built look very nice. It's something close to 1600 square inches of area, and the total weight looks to be 10.2 pounds with a YS 1.40-DZ for power.
As Troy said.. it'll fly this weekend in Sierra Vista.
