LOL... In 1974 I took a trip in
May from Virginia up to Ontario, and then west to BC. I drove through Thunder Bay, and it took three days of driving around that giant lake before the great lake ice even started to look broken up! Even as I crossed Canada, I still could see Piper Cubs parked on the ice in the middle of small lakes (ponds to you guys). In the middle of May!
