Default RE: dynamite engines good or bad?

ORIGINAL: hitman45

Horrible engine. Owned on in my Team Losi XXX-NT (comes standard in the RTR version). Good engine when it first starts off. Through it a gallon of fuel and it well chuck a tantrum after that.

This engine has problems with holding a tune and loses compression like no tomorrow. I always got problems with 'hot-starting' because it ALWAYS vapour locks.

Wouldnt recommend it, but if your looking for a cheap deposable engine then get it by all means. I was quite impressed with the power of it for a RTR engine and should do you nicely for a gallon or two...
Sounds like the mach 15 that they put in some of the xxx-nt rtr's worst engine I have ever owned, bought the car with no compression fitted a new piston and sleeve and its never worked right and now less then a gallon on it loosing compression again. The new piston and sleeve hardly had any pinch even before run in!
