If it's full time glow, a 1600 mah battery would be a bit small. That would work fine for part time glow.

For full time it would be better to have around a 3500 mah battery, or a pack made up that totaled 3500 or so. Try www.cheapbatterypacks.com . Another way would be to make up a pack of two 2500 mah AA cells that are available at Walmart for digital cameras. You want to wire them in parallel; positive to positive and negative to negative. If you wire them in series you'll blow your glow plug.
