Nahhh no one here is scared away. If you know someone with a machine shop then by all means talk to him. Problem with doing twins is they are time consuming to set up the machining program. Assuming CNC machines. Next issue is doing cranks as you need to graft two together. Then you need a source for the cylinders and they have to be matched to the case. Fuel system needs to be a reed setup. Homelite had the best and easiest to get for a while. Now that system is out of production and very hard to come by. Try this link to see what I mean.
