Cooperfly,

There are so many boats and companies out there that you can spend days looking through all of them. Something to keep in mind is how many hours are you able to dedicate to a boat to have it finished and ready for summer. With a lot of these scale boats, it is easy to get caught up in a time consuming build.

Here is the link to Dumas Products. Maybe they might have something that grabs your attention. "Go for a simple boat." Keep away from their big boats because they may easily take you a year or more to complete.

They have a "discounted" section and have some pretty good deals to keep cost down. Recently, i picked up the "Osprey" (a good starter boat) because the price was right and it should not be extremely time consuming to build.
