I'm not sure what you mean by FG tubes in the Fusion? It has long carbon fiber strips the run the length of the fuse but they are about 1/16" thick and 3/4: wide and there are two of them one sorta on the top end of the use and one towards the bottom. Neither of those strips broke...the wood just broke around them and they just sorta lay there. They are not very stiff when seperated from the wood. But they didn't break. Everything else did. I think they are in the fuse to keep it from flexing side to side.

I can generally hover for a minimum of 30-40 seconds with any of my planes. The Do and my Wild Hare I can pretty much hover as long as I want to. So I feel I'm in control...it's just time to lower it on down. The Fusion I can hover a long time as well. It might be a good canidate to do my first tail touch with.
