While I'm here, all of the discussion on YMF landing gear has me wondering what to do to make the landing gear on the UPF-7 more forgiving. It looks to be a slightly different configuration. I'm currently building 2 IKON N'WEST UPF-7s 1/5 scale and would love some input.
Yel914,
I have no personal experience with the UPF7 and it's landing gear. With the diference in angles and width when compared to the Y/UMF5 I am sure the set up will be no where near as ridged. It should be a lot more forgiving (read as flexible) in comparison. However that set up may come with it's own set of different problems.

Bill, thanks for posting "TRLambsr" pictures. That is some nice detail work without a doubt. I have a question for you and the rest of the crew working on those links for the struts. Do you guys think that machined aluminum peices at the size we need would be strong enough to support a 5th scale bird. What size are your blacksmithed "modified bolts-all thread" 8-32, 10-32???

John, once again you come through with some nice shots of the full scales. Excellant!!
