Default Comparison

That's a really nice looking Extra. As a point of comparison, it is a very similar size to the Dave Patrick 330L. The wing span is the same, but it has about 70 sq ins less wing area and is a couple of inches shorter. The published weight range is 14 - 16 lbs. If this is accurate then the wing loading will be ok, but nothing to write home about. If it is optimistic like every ARF I've ever built, it is going to be very heavy. If they're talking 16 lbs with the high end of the recommended engine weight, then you can expect around 16.5 to 17lbs for that Brison 3.2, and a pound more for the G38. Both are very heavy for this wing area.

It will be interesting to see what the reality is.
