You are getting into one of the best parts of this hobby. Taking a so-so plane and making it better. I did this with a weathered Carl Goldberg Cub and was able to sell it for more than I paid for it when I was done. And got to fly it of course too. Now if you calculated my pay rate for the profit on the plane it would be in the neighborhood of a penny/ hour but the education was priceless.
