The shaft to ground distance on mine is 10 5/8" with the H. Stab level. I run a 15" prop, another flyer in my club runs a 16" (1.20 4 stroke) on his. 18" prop will probably work, but I haven't seen one in action on this plane. Of course, the kit wheels are replaced with 2 3/4 or 3" wheels.
