i do mostly scale flying - you have to remember i got into rc heli's cause i found i couldn't afford to finish getting a rotor wing license, so to me scale flying is 'real' flying - once you get comfortable with normal mode, you'll probably want to explore stunt mode a bit for handling the weirdness that happens when you least expect it - 99% of scale flying is boring, and i love it

grinding round the pattern doing touch and goes, helipad hopping, off-airport and cliff-top landings, power off autorotations, video and still camera work (ch5/gear servo clicker works great with a still camera), night flights and 'missions' of various kinds

you can do pretty much anything except get out and walk around once you land somewhere
