Default RE: scale flying with blade cp

Heli Mike 81,

The HBK2 is in between the size of the CP and a Trex 450. Had 'em all. When installing a Scale Body, the one thing that it does, is add alot of weight. Unless you upgrade your CP to a brushless motor (a gyro would be nice too) I don't thing the stock motor on a CP would lift it off the ground. That hold true for a Stock HBK2, you'll need the extra power and head speed that the brushed motors won't give you. Myself, I'd vote for a HBK2 with a 3800kv motor and a 10 tooth pinion. The 8 tooth won't give you the head speed you need. Not sure about the 9 tooth. But the 10 tooth has plenty of punch. You could even go with an 11 tooth pinion. An 11 tooth on a stock HBK2, makes it rock. Also, the HBK2 has a belt driven tail rotor, so you don't need to worry about tail motors going out, or readjusting the proportion mix all the time either.
