It should be flush all the way around. The easiest way I have found is to cut some balsa sticks 3/8" x 7/16". This will give you a 1/16 on each side and once the canopy is on you can sand the fuse sides to match the canopy. As for the back of the canopy frame, just trace the front of the turtle deck on the 1/8 balsa and cut it on the inside of the line. This will give you the correct gap for the canopy assuming your blade isn't bigger than a 1/32" or so. I hope this helps.

Sorry to be so thick, but what is the 3/8" x 7/16" balsa sticks do? Thanks
