Well from the picture it looks as though the anti-rotation pin is embedded in the top of your scratch! The piston and ring are toast. Check the bore to see if it screwed that up too. Did you find anything in the engine that shouldn't be there like a little screw or pebble?? Something definately got ingested or came apart. Possibly a needle from a needle bearing???
