Looking at your model, you could use monster truck a-arms, from a T-Maxx or a Monster GT. Lots of aluminum ones in the aftermarket.Shocks would be a snap with those. Consider direct driving the wheels, with an outrunner type motor system. Check the electric flying section at Tower. There's even geared systems, planetary and whatnot.
