I think you'd have to define "strong". I recently, (2 years ago) finished a Taurus with the molded L.E., which holds up well UNLESS it hits something---then it's just like an eggshell[&o] That's the way it has to be repaired too--fitting the "eggshell" pieces back together, then gluing.
