Default RE: Battery Setup For 2.4Ghz

ORIGINAL: MaJ. Woody

Hi Guys.
I have been reading about all the power related issues when going to 2.4Ghz. I understand that the solution is to ensure you have the proper setup. Here is what I use in my jets currently:

Two 6V 1950 Mah Nimh packs each rated to deliver 40 amps (packs from No BS Batteries)

Two Heavy Duty switches

Each switch is plugged into a different port in the Receiver

This setup should give me nearly 4000 Mah capacity and 80 amps of current.
I have over 150 jet flights with this setup and never had a problem. Will this setup be OK with 2.4 Ghz?

Thanks,
Dom
Dom,
This setup pretty well matches the setup I have in my KingCat with TitanSE power. I use 2 qty 5 cell 2000 Mah Nimh 7mH batteries (from noBS) each connected to the AR9000 RX with its own switch harness. No regulators, diodes, etc. 80+ flights and all is well.

DX7 TX guides her well too!
