Default RE: Tony Bonetti's Troublemaker Build Thread

Well fellas, she's done as far as the build goes. Got her done today and balanced... came out more nose heavy than I though she would. Had to move the battery and rx rearward in the radio compartment. After that she was right on the CG from the plans.

I don't have a high-tech scale in my shop, so what I do is step on my digital scale without the plane, step off, then get back on holding the plane. It showed 6.5 pounds, but we'll just round that up to seven. When I have more time I'll sit her on the digital baby scale we bought to weigh the kid. That will get it down to the ounces.

I set the ailerons and elevator throws to 10 degrees low-rate and 12 high rate.. probably WAY too much, but I like them to have as much authority as possible for maidens. You never know when you might need it. After the maidens I start bringing everything down.

Next step is to go out back of the house here and run the engine. I probably wont get to that today, but it will be done soon. Most likely maiden this thing by next weekend. If she flys good I've got some cool ideas for graphics.

Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, my camera screws up now and again.
