WOW! Took the baby out back today and fired her up for the first time. The AXE/Rossi .60 was really stiff ... she started... then the part I hate...listening to the engine break itself in initially...OUCH! Well after monkeying with the mixtures to get her up on speed, I let her run about 3/4 throttle for 5 minutes. Then I grabbed the tach and let her rip... 13000 at 5600' pressure altitude, 11X7 Master Airscrew. I did that once and decided it wasn't safe to try and mess with the mixture without someone helping to hold the plane. So that's all I will have done until probably Thursday morning when I'll most likely get the maiden in. Of course I'll play with the pipe length eventually as I know she has more in her than 13K.
