get hold of pugwash on the bay and he will get you a sparkly new tkrx 14 board and then you wont need to worry
but if you do want to go down the repair route i did with an old non s+s board pulled the trannys out and popped em into the fried one and the rest is history
as you look at the board on the writing side there are as follows (this worked for mine)

Q3= right track forward
Q4= right track reverse
Q5= left track forward
Q6= left track reverse
