Default RE: YS What?

Yes I actually know the airplane....

A friend of mine that moved to AZ from Colorado Springs Dave Miller built that model.

I believe that engine is the 140FZ.

Reason.....first off it has the low speed air bleed screw on the throttle barrel. There were only two 120's built with that air bleed screw. The 120SC and the 120FZ

Its not a 120FZ because the rear of the carb does not have the big mounting lug for the YS motor mount. So its not a 120FZ.

Also not a 120SC becasue the pressure line gores from the regulator to the rear of the case before going back to the tank. The 120SC didn't do that.

The pressure line going to the rear of the backplate before going to the tank is a sign of two engines. 140FZ or 140L the 140L has the same big mounting lug on the rear of the carb...So that leaves on the 140FZ.

Dave was a very good builder and paitner. Not sure if he still around flying or not. I haven't run into him down here...I've been here a couple years but don't get to Tucson much.
