Default RE: Ignitions on A123 Cells??

ORIGINAL: vettebob

I have a Rcxcel red label with a ver 2 sticker on it I wired 1 5402 diode in series. Is this going to be acceptable 0ver the long term? Thanks Bob
I looked up the 5402 diode, I don't think the voltage drop you get will be enough since it uses a metal semiconductor.

I would go with a 1N4001 Rectifier diode. They are rated at 1A and will drop the voltage ~0.7V because it is made of silicone.
