I love this car comparison when talking about the G4.0 "upgrade". I'm sorry I missed it before.

There's just one flaw with this comparison ... You're leaving out the fact that the dealer never delivered the car that you bought -

You have a car that you've bought and like a lot. The problem is that it has a few problems. No big deal since your dealer has been fixing those problems. Although they've become so numerous that he's having a hard time keeping up. You and the rest of the people who own the same make and model have told the dealer that certain things "need" to be fixed, other items "should" be fixed and a few things "would be nice" if they got fixed.

Then your dealer comes out with a new model, fixing a lot of the things that you've asked him to fix. The problem is that it's a "new" model. And, oh by the way, he's no longer going to do anything with the problems that you've asked him to fix on your model ... if you want those things fixed you'll have to buy the "new" model.

Based on your comparison you'd just go ahead and buy the new model and not think twice about it. Does that sound right to you?

It doesn't quite seem fair or ethical to me ... but hey, that's just me.
