Default RE: Looking for diesel aircraft engine info

gkamysz, thanks for your reply, I've been flying rc since 1972 except for a 20 year period in full size (or nothing at all). Just got back into it in 2003, so I've go a bit of experiance and your answers certainly make sense. I would ask "the mod to sticky this thread to the top" IF I had the slightest idea of what you're talking about !! I'm sorry, but my experiance/knowledge with forums (I think thats the right term) is SO LIMITED I'm almost ashamed to admit it. I feel extremely fortunate guys like you are willing to help.
I also have a question for Hobbsy, (and thank you for your info as well) your comment about "the engines mentioned are not high quality engines" causes one to think it is your belief Thunder Tiger and Evo are not high quality, yet you state you have converted some engines I am familiar with from way back when, namely Fox which was very low cost/low quality, SuperTigre which then was THE quality engine, but from what I've seen of them today, they make the old Foxes look good, OS was/is real iffy, while Enya was somewhere in the middle. So my question now is what engine would you, with what you know now about diesel, convert ???
Again thank you both for you responses, hope to learn more about this as time goes on.

oh yeah, gkamysz, the other sites you gave for info are great !!!!
