I use that technique at work to straighten soft metal wire and rod, so I figured it would work for the inner shaft. If it works for the outer shaft as well, I'm impressed and I'll add that to my list of Tricks. I'm surprised that the outer will go straight because it's made of some pretty stiff stuff. But I'm not going to argue with the guy who is making it work. Thanks for the tip!
