Default RE: Nitro Models E-3D Electric Model

I noticed this threat is a bit old, but hopefully it's still active...

I just bought a nitroplanes E-3D and am in the process of setting it up. I took it to my local hobby shop to buy a motor and electronics for it. The guy at the hobby shop had me get a E-Flight Power 10 motor for it. He said that it'll provide enough power to fly the plane fully 3-D. I wasn't sure about the weight of the plane while i was at the shop. He looked at the plane and thought that'd it would come in at 2 lbs easily. I don't think the plane will be that heavy. Right now I have that motor, a 2100mah LiPo, 35A electrifly ESC, and 4 hitec servos. I do want the plane to be 3-D-able...but is this too much power/weight for this plane? Also, the motor mount that the motor came with does not fit on the firewall of the plane. How can I get around this problem?

My last issue is with the wing. It's more of a complaint than a question. I noticed after unpacking the plane that the airfoil doesn't taper down as it should. This makes for a nasty looking blunt wing at the tips that are way too thick at the leading edge. I imagine this causes some not-so-nice stall characteristics...
