Thanks Mike, I've been looking for just a site. The one I built from
balsa and plastic wrap from my Aero Soarer flew but not as well as
the original AS. It was a bit too heavy. I need more practise building
these light weights as every little bit counts when it comes to weight.
The wings had some dihedral but no airfoil. Having a slight airfoil
I believed would've of helped keep it afloat when the battery started
getting low.
I've been thinking of combining the Havok Heli with the Aero Soarer
and try again with an even lighter plane. Only problem is trying to
get the Havok to work with rudder control.
brendonv, I'm pretty much at the state where you're at getting as much
info as possible. Trail & error seems to be the best teacher.
All I can say is build it as light as possible.
