Default Building a scale cockpit

I'm interested in where to find the parts to build a scale cockpit. I am not talking about buying an acessory to a kit such as a "Skymaster F!8" but actually constructing a cockpit from parts and pieces. I have shopped various stores looking for items to use but found most all items purchased which appear to be small enough in the store look to big when installed in the plane. I have considered purchasing a kit and modifying the pieces but most appear to small. So far I have been using Plastistrut to form the dash and control panels. By the way the plane is a Lightning. I do know about the Blue Box cockpit, I have one here that I am using to model my work after and as a base line as to what it should look like. It would take two or three to get enough parts to make up a large plane like the Lightning. Also I am not talking about Top Gun quality just making it look good.

Someone once told me you never finish a scale plane you just "quit working on it"

Sean - Does one of your planes need a cockpit??? {hint-hint}
