Default RE: Building a scale cockpit

A few things to consider .. if you want to go whole-hog (or just see what whole-hog looks like .. even if you'll never go that far ..) take a look at Dave Platt's website .. in one of his scale videos he scratch builds a cockpit for his Hawker Hunter. It is stunning. Lots of useful techniques to be learned there. Highly recommended. See video JS-3 at

http://www.daveplattmodels.com/Videos/index.htm

Next, take a look at the Dynamic Balsa website. They have dozens of cockpit kits, mostly prop stuff, some jets. www.dbalsa.com The end result is fantastic, but it's a LOT of work. I built one for my 3W Bearcat.

Some of the nicest scale pilots come from Axel in Germany, he also has instruments and other cockpit accessories, see http://www.axels-scale-pilots.de/

For pre-done parts, quickly assembled, take a look at http://www.billr.org/just-the-pits/ Made for Yellow Aircraft planes, but I am sure adaptable. You can make a pretty nice cockpit VERY fast with this stuff.

For sure there are many other sources that others will add. A nice cockpit adds a surprising amount of "wow" factor to a plane.
