Not to pick nits, but the DA-85 is 1.5 lbs lighter than the DA-100...
It's more than a nit. Also if you plan to use canisters the 85 saves another 5 oz., and the actual weight difference between the 85 and the 100 is 1.7 lbs. by my scales.
Total weight savings with the 85 and canisters is almost 2 pounds, and the power difference is less than 5 percent.
In my testing I find that the plane's power performance (climb, pullout, acceleration) is about the same while losing 2 pounds makes the flight envelope a lot larger and saving $500 makes me smile.
