RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
All of the major components were double wrapped, first with a thin foam sheet then bubble wrap.
In spite of that there were a few dings and scratches, plus one former under the cockpit is cracked. The heavy hardware bags could have been secured a bit better inside the fuse.
None of that is too big a deal. I'd say the quality is very good for the price. There are several places where there is some overspray, but overall the plane looks good. As far as I can tell nothing is missing. A few things I didn't like are the hatch latches, the tailcone doesn't fit well, and I wish there was some instructions on how to adjust the oil damped struts and air up the tires.
The hatch latch lever screws into what resembles a wheel collar to keep it together and they were all loose. I'll have to put some thread locker on them otherwise they might come apart in flight. With a little bit of sanding I should be able to get the tailcone on. I'd like the struts to be stiffer. I'll have to take them out to see if I can figure out how.
The formers all seem to be glued in fine with no obvious gaps. First impression is that it is a great value for the money, as has been prerviously reported by others. Here it is about 10 minutes after unwrapping everything. If anyone would like any specific pictures let me know.
