Mojo Plans
Hello All,
I've been intrigued by another RCU member's ideas for an amazingly light, yet strong aircraft made of 1/2" insulation foam and strengthening tubes based off of the Mojo 40. I already contacted Paul Swanson and he said it was fine for me to do. I asked him if I could be a set from him, but he informed me that he didn't sell the plans alone but that I should ask around for someone that would be willing and able to send me a copy of their Mojo 40 plane. If there's enough interest I'll start a build thread. Cool plane. Should come out at about 3 pounds with a 700sq in wing area giving it a wing loading of under 10oz/sq in. It's also pretty indestructible and extremely cheap to build. The whole plane (minus engine and radio) should come in right around $45. The best part about it is that if the epoxyglass tubes don't break, it should only take about $10 to build another one. Most of the original build cost is in paints, glues and bidirectional tape that can be used in many more than one plane.
I was informed that the name of the plane I'm building (the Foam Mojo) is the "Brawler."
