Hey, I run Cool Power 15% synthetic in every thing I have that is glow both 2cy. & 4cy. That does not mean the Homey has to run on 15% I just want to take 1 jug to the field. I have run it on 10% and do not see much difference. At this point I must ask what is the deal with gas/glow? Is it a money saver? Something cool to do? I mean I am not knocking it at all, experimentation is COOL, but why not mix your own methonal fuel? I raced karts in the open class and we mixed our own fuel. When I quit about 3 years ago methanol was about $3.50 a gal. The Homey has needle bearings on the rod, so you could mix the fuel/oil @ 40-50:1. A qt. of Klotz is about $10.00. 40:1 is 3oz/gal., you can get 10 gal. of fuel+ from a qt. Now we are @ $4.50. Nitro is available from kart suppliers, the last I bought boosted many gallons for $9.00. Add the cost of the nitro and I do not see more than $5.00/gal. Hey I realize I may be WAY of base because I do not know the current cost of methanol, but it has to be cheaper than gas/glow.
