Ralph. I am not trying to start a controversy, but using your figures, you have invested $18.15 in 2 gals. of fuel. If methanol is $6.00 a gal. + 2.00 for Klotz I think the math is $14.00. Plus methanol produces more power than gas! Look at any specs. for a glow motor and you will find that it will turn bigger props than if you convert it to gas. I am equally divided between gas and glow motors. Any given engine will produce more power on methanol than gas. Thats what top fuel dragsters are all about. I just converted a ST-3000 to gas, I expect it to turn a smaller prop. I think you miss my point, I like glow motors, my 25cc Homey is an absolute pleasure to run, starts easily, idles like a kitten, runs like a lion, and has no IGNITION as you refer to it. I like my gas motors, I have several 50cc motors, if you want to get right down to it the deisel guys are probably laughing at all of us!
