Hello All,
I attempted to fuel my jet today for the first time to check for leaks. I have no previous experience with a UAT's or this kind of fuel system.
I filled the system thru the UAT and as the UAT became full, fuel poured out of the cap and of course into the airplane. It is a Hanson UAT and I checked the cap and it was tight. I had not disassembled the tank before this. I then took the cap off to check to see if it was cross-threaded. It was not and i re-tightened but got the same results on the second attempt.
I have attached a pic of the UAT. This is my first UAT but I think I may have figured it out. There appears to be a black seal under the cap. If that is a seal, most of it is missing. Can anyone verify this by looking at the pic?
