wow I forgot about this post. this has been a long time. I have already fixed the problem. My problem was that two metal elevator wires were causing a harmonic disturbance on one end and the other end they were soldered together and there also must had been a tad bit of rubbing. And on the changing crystals, you dont have to send it to a certified place. I have changed many crystals through the years and with no problems. They say that so that you spend more money. I have range tested with changed crystals and without. There isnt any difference. I think the farthest I got with my antenna down and still got reception on the ground was approximatly 100 yards. straight line. Anyway, thank the good Lord I have it fixed and actually sold that plane a long time ago and bought another since then and sold that one too! LOL! I need to just keep the ones I get but some guys see what I have and want it bad so I sell them. I appreciate the help though.
