RE: CMP 160 sized Texan
The 3/4 inch Dowel sounds good.
Here are some pics I found surfing, these are of the "Screamin Rebel" - I did not take these as they are some other Photogs work. All credit goes to he or she. Hope they help some one.
It looks like CMP made a few changes to the model example the Flag is on the cowl of the model vs the fuse on the full scale. Maybe the real example was of another plane notice sn.
