Hey folks, I'm fairly new to the sport, but I have a Losi8 RTR and I just received my RC8 RTR last Friday. I'm not big into putting kits together at this stage in the game, so the RTR's suit me fine for now. I haven't had a lot of time to run the RC8 because the weather has been pretty crappy here in New York, but I have run through two tanks and I find the .28 pro engine to be very reponsive and easy to start. In my opinion, the Losi has a sturdier front end; the RC8 RTR looks a little cheap in this area for a car in this price range. However, I had problems with the Losi radio tray and fried my throttle servo before I ran though my fourth tank. One new servo and a Hing Headz tray stiffner later and I haven't had any more problems with it. I guess what I'm tying to say is that some of these companies are so eager to put a product on the market that they speed through the research and development and basically leave it to the customer to do their testing for them and then they come up with fixes afterwards. I think this is wrong and if people in the sport complain enough and bring Big Brother into it, the manufacturers may begin to see the error of their ways. Just my two cents here, I'm really looking forward to seeing what the RC8 can do, but if it breaks a part or two it seems as if the aftermarket companies are already providing upgraded parts. Associated has a respected name in the RC community and I'm sure they will stand behind this buggy and do the right thing; so go on and give it a shot, I don't think you will be dissappointed.
