So, would you suggest to a newb to go FM?
I believe that these incidents you are reading about in this thread are isolated. There are thousands of people using Spektrum DSM, DSM2, Futaba FAAST, 2.4ghz systems, whatever it may be, successfully. I am one of them. I had been using a DX7 for over a year with not one issue, and just recently upgraded to the X9303. I fly anything from electric helicopters to 35% aerobatic planes. The main thing is to make sure you set everything up right and follow the manufacturers recommendations. If you do this, you should have no problems with 2.4 systems. Yes, any system you choose is not "bulletproof" and can have problems, but the 2.4 systems are here to stay in my opinion.
