ORIGINAL: radek Hi Bought an optic 6 system when in germany, plain vanilla one with 4 standard servos, big receiver and channel 77.<snip> So I install this new radio into the plane, and do a range check. Well,, better, I can step back about 8-9 meters now before the servos start glitching. But I know that compared to my old basic laser 6 system this is still not a very succesfull rangecheck. <snip> I'm sort of loosing all confidence in hitec radio systems becouse of this. Cheers Radek J
"compared to my old basic laser 6 system '
there are still many variables e.g.. Which model RX. Does RX have appropriate genuine Hitec single or dual conversion xtal? Was range check with Laser 6 and the other RX in the same model you are now experiencing "short range"?
Perhaps a new model is shielding the signal, refer sub sections "Range check and Range problem solving" and "Receiver - FAQ, guides and aids to best reception.." amongst other sections under "Radio Systems, Accessories, Alterations and FAQ" on my web page, especially
Guide to receivers - and solving apparent RX & "Interference" problems
