ok will check in to excel ch ignition.. would you recommend having the heads drilled out and retap for 14mm. or use the 1/4 20 small plugs which are 12 dollars each.. little expensive.
if i change it over i know i can use gas and would probably be sure of not dropping a cyl when runing..
any help would be appreciated..
tks al
Help me understand..., You have an engine designed for glow operation, which uses a walbro carb. You state that you know you can use gasoline. Insides have bearings not bushings?
Why go to expense of drilling and threading the heads to put in a heavy sparkplug and add additional weight of an EI? By switching to 4 stroke plugs and mixing up a gasoline and glow mix and try running it without the extra mucking about. I would suspect that a head designed for glow plug would be alot more efficient than those of us that have to use adapter in a spark plug hole to mount a glow plug that ends up recessed up into the adapter. No change in designed compression would be a benefit as well.
I like your handle. So fitting for so many of us.
