Compare fuse length vs wingspan for a Cap 232 vs Extra's and Edges. You will find Caps are much shorter coupled, especially on elevator, whereas Extras and Edges tend to be much more 'square' have a nearly equal length to wingspan ratio.

BTW: Sukhois are also very short coupled. However the shorter coupled planes are known to be wilder tumblers, including doing much more voilent blenders. Just the nature of the beast.
