Default RE: DL-50 gas engine

ORIGINAL: skreamer

I own 3 DL 50's and 1 DA 50. I am running two on the original mounts and one on stand offs (DL). I have 30 gallons on one engine with original mount and zero problems.

Wow, that's a LOT of run time. A DA 100 burns 2.5 oz a minute at wide open throttle. That would mean that at a DA 100 burn rate, you put 25.6 hours at wide open throttle. IN other words, the amount of fuel you burned (30 gallons) would run a DA 100 at 25.6 hours... That's a lot of hours. Did you have it in the same plane for that many hours? I would have to guess that it gets near twice the mpg that the 100 gets.... thats 50 hours roughly..... Sure you put 30 through it? I keep a very anal log book on all of my planes and motors and to put 20 hours on a plane takes a lot of flying!
