first of all ur over geared on ur small gear. don't know why it would have killed ur batt, but it probably killed ur motor. the reactor is an old esc, although it goes down to 12 turns it might have not been able to handle the amps from the 4600mah batt. don't really know just a shot. i've only been in this addiction since 8/06
