Default RE: Extreme composite Pro-Line

Weg:

I would like nothing better than to build one of these as an electric, but I have run the weights many times, and it always comes out significantly over weight. An Axi outrunner setup with 5300 ProLites from Thunder Power will be at least 8 -12oz over. The FLight Power 5350 batteries will be even heavier. The heaviest a complete airframe can weigh without any radio or motor installation is going to be 5lb or 2270g. This is if you plan to use the Axi F3A motor. The Plettenberg or Dualsky will save you some weight as well as using smaller batteries, but will still be over 5kg. If you want to run an inrunner, the weight of the airframe can be a little more.
